OOTD: The Mismatched suit
As much as I love being a #girlboss, some days I’m just not feeling myself (which is totally okay). It’s easy to get stuck in a cycle of wake-up, work, sleep, repeat. I’ve always been a creative type and this ‘feeling trapped’ is just not my jam. So whenever I’m feeling in a bit of a rut, I make a change: colour my hair, try a new coffee shop, style a trend, buy a puppy (I wish). So, a quick ASOS browse and 24 hours later, I’m sporting a seriously sassy look…
TAILORED BLAZER JACKET | WIDE LEG BLUE TROUSERS | STRIPE ROLL NECK TEE | SUEDE LACE-UP HEELS* | CIRCLE NECKLACE | TAN BUCKET BAG
Mismatched suits is a look I’ve wanted to try for forever. I love playing with different shades in my colour palette, like my head to toe pink outfit that has quickly become one of my fave looks. I love the dusty blue shade of the blazer and it’s so well sized (& affordable too). Complementing it with navy strips and power blue trousers, then contrasting the tan accessories lets every piece shine without overshadowing the rest of the look.
The heels are my abso must have comfy and chic pair. Running errands around town in anything but flats or ankle boots at a push is normally a no go for me but the chunky heel on these babes makes it totally do-able. Keeping it simple, I’ll be wearing this look with a nike tee and my Stan Smith’s for a laid back look or jazzing things up with a silk cami and statement necklace for date night.
Jumping in a cab to meet my gals, the uber driver told me I look sassy a.k.a like a total gal boss. If that’s not confirmation that this look is the pick-me-up you need, I don’t know what it will take to convince you.
Let me know if you try out the trend.
