BLOGMAS// December Style Day 10

On my 18th birthday, I threw a black and white masquerade ball, and obviously turned up in a red dress. With an invite to The Light’s masquerade themed secret supper club, I figured it was about time we recreate that look. Armed with only a mask and instructions to find the violinist for our next set of instructions, Lucy (from Lucy Loves) and I headed out into the night…

We arrived and were handed napkins telling us to head to Stark’s bar for a cocktail, before being whisked into the Radison Blu restaurant for dinner and drinks. The concept was very cool and it gave Lucy and I the excuse to shoot in The Light after dark. So onto the look…

There are several good reasons to buy this dress: it’s flattering, it’s unusual etc. But the main reason is so you can channel the sassy salsa dancing emoji lady, ’cause why wouldn’t you? Get your cringey dance on and still look fabulous. Ideally, get someone to follow you around with a fan to make the swishy side ruffly things float about (or stand in front of a door like I did). You can grab the curve version here.

Since the dress is such a show stopper, I kept everything else simple. I used my Aspinal travel wallet as a clutch – it’s perfect as it fits so much inside and looks super chic as it’s embossed with my initials. The black lace mask was a transfer and I had so many compliments on it.

Love Lucinda xx
