OOTD: Flowers and Frills

Forget double denim, I’m on a double frill hype. And what better way to show them off than with a wander around Camden, with town houses and fresh flowers for props. Whilst I’ve been busy picking up Autumn style essentials, a few pieces more suitable for sunnier climates happen to have sneaked into my wardrobe… which is as good an excuse as ever for a little vacay, right? Failing that, I’ll make the most of the rare sunny days and brave the chill…off-the-shoulder-stripe-style-ootd-004

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect off-the-shoulder top for a while. I wanted the ‘I just threw this on’ aesthetic, not fitted but not overly slouchy either. I’m a sucker for stripes too… which makes it a pretty detailed list of demands for a casual wardrobe piece. This little dreamboat from Zaful ticks all the boxes, looks sassy AF and is majorly affordable. So the moral of the story is persevere gals, the one is out there.

Straight up skinny jeans just ain’t cutting it anymore – 2016 has been the year of the statement jean (and denim as a whole tbh). ASOS tend to be my go to when I’m after a pair – I’m still in love with these floral embroidered babies that I picked up! So when I spotted the black frill hem jeans, they went straight into my basket, along without about 100 other things that are absolutely, 100% essential; honest.

The finishing touches are a pair of trusty flats from Primark (you can’t go wrong – similar linked above), my cat eye sunglasses that I basically never take off and my Aspinal travel wallet that doubles up as an chic clutch.

So what d’ya think? All about the stripes? Overkill on the frill? Tell me about it in the comments.
