OOTD: The Utility Trend with Primark*

Last weekend I was invited down to Primark in Leeds for a day of styling and shopping with the lovely Stephi LeReine, Laura from A Forte For Fashion and Hayley from Tea Party Beauty. It was so much fun shooting the looks in store, I can’t wait to share the results with you. We were lucky enough to be given gift cards to purchase our favourite pieces so I’ve styled up one of my favourite looks for the day. I’m obsessed with this seasons big trends and this outfit combines two of my favourites: Utility and the 70s vibes ✌

I needed somewhere special in order to show off my favourite new look. I headed over to Kirkstall Abbey with my wonderful photographer (/other half) to get some shots of the look in action. Fancy an adventure?

Sometimes life just calls for chic tailoring and shiny shoes. I’m head over heels for the suede, fringing and circle sunnies combination… Hello 70’s style. Flattering, effortlessly stylish and a blooming bargain, that khaki jumpsuit from Primark ticks all the boxes. It’s incredibly easy to wear, just throw it on with practically anything (I can’t help but think trainers – comfy central) and go! Paired with some serious tan fringing, I doubled up with the jacket of dreams and a leather look bag.

Oh and can we please talk about those shoes? Rose gold – everyone’s current fave – flatform loafers. I’ll admit, the first day wearing these had me hobbling round by lunch time but you can break them in with a little bit of wear and it’s totally worth it. The extra height is a total bonus.

Who says sunglasses have to be expensive? These £3 oversized, tortoiseshell babies will be featuring heavily in my summer adventures. As will that fabulous pineapple necklace! I’m obsessed with all things pineapple and flamingo right now (there’s a flamingo version of the necklace too) so stepping into primark means absolutely everything ends up in my basket, especially from the homeware section!!

So what do you think about my take on the utility x 70’s look? I can’t wait to see what you think! Don’t forget to check out my Primark haul video over on my Youtube channel!

  1. Obsessed with fringe too! Can’t believe most of the look is primark, will be scouring looking for some goodies today Ahah xxxx

  2. This outfit looks amazing! I’m a big fan of primark and have been getting all my maternity clothes (actually just normal clothes in bigger sizes) from there recently. I absolutely love this colour combination of khaki and brown. Love the jumpsuit. I’m not a fan of fringing but the jacket works so well with the jumpsuit. Love it!
